WORLDWIDE ARTISTS FOR PEACE INTERNATIONAL ART ACTION PROJECT- W-AFPIAAP
The project was initiated and created by the artist Sevgi ÜRÜM on the February of 2008.
Turkish artists Sevgi Ürüm and Evrensel Ürüm organised the first art action;
W-AFPIAAP-İSTANBUL2009.
Many international worldwide artists have been supporting the initiative since the beginning.

“Our goal is to realize visual international art actions by taking ART for PEACE as the main theme in promoting artfriendship&solidarity and peace, as artists against war and violence!!!
Artists for Peace International Art Action Project is open to worldwide artists who keep up the passion of ART&PEACE in their hearts and as achieving the art with this aim!...
First Artists for Peace International Art Action will be realized in İstanbul/Turkey on the October 2009. We are in contact with the other countries to repead the event under the same work-frame.
We aim to come together in İstanbul with our artworks;as worldwide artists, within sounding by our unique feelings,thoughts and ideals for the world peace.We issue the beauties and forces of arts instead of wars and violences,by the concepts of peace;love,freedom,respecting of human rights,political and cultural pluralism within a global context, throughout the worldwide.”

Amacımız SANAT ve BARIŞ,BARIŞ için SANAT kavramlarını ana tema alarak dünya çevresi sanatçıları insiyatifi olarak dünyanın değişik yörelerinde tekrarlanacak uluslararası görsel sanat etkinlikleri düzenlemektir.
BARIŞ SANATÇILARI ;SAVAŞ ve ŞİDDET KARŞITIı,SANAT ve BARIŞI birlikte sunumlamayı amaçlamış, sanat dostluğu ve dayanışması ile aktif ve kollektif bir etkinlik sürecinde yolları kesişen bir DÜNYA SANATÇILARI INSİYATİFİDİR.
BARIŞ SANATÇILARININ İLK SANAT HAREKETİ Kıt’aları birbirine bağlayan, tarih,sanat,kültür ve güzellikler beldesi,bir dünya kenti İSTANBUL’da ,barış coşkusunu yüreklerinde taşıyan,SAVAŞA KARŞI BARIŞ ,DOSTLUKve KARDEŞLİK kavramlarını vizyon edinmiş dünya sanatçıları 2009 Ekim’inde yapıtlarını sergileyerek BARIŞ’I seslendirecekler.....
Barış Sanatçıları grubunun bu uluslararası sanat etkinliğinde; BARIŞ’ın GEREKLİLİĞİNİ, SAVAŞIN YIPRATICILIĞINI; Sanatın gücüyle,güzellikleriyle,görsel diliyle ortaya koymak,sanatın gerekliliğini ve barış,sevgi,dostluk kavramlarıyla nasıl örtüştüğünü gündeme getirerek dünya insanlarıyla paylaşmak amaçlanmaktadır.
