BIOGRAPHY of SEVGİ ÜRÜM
Sevgi Urum was born in Ankara on 19th.November 1953. Graduated from the Graphic Art Branch, Drawing and Painting Department of Gazi University, in Ankara 1974. Complated her licence degree at Anadolu University in Eskisehir, in 1994. Worked in The Ministry of National Education,as a graphic and painting artist,as an art teacher in the high schools for 22 years. Worked at the Educational Center for Film-Radio and Television in Ankara,as a graphic artist(1976-1981).She worked as an artist and teacher of educational technology at the Center of Educational Materials in Izmir (1981-1985). She worked as an art teacher in High Schools and Ege University.(1985-1996) While she worked officially she continued to do artworks and activities.She joined many solo and group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad since 1974. Her works are in many public and private collections in Turkey and many countries of the World.
